Bithumb was raided by South Korean authorities in the present day after it allegedly offered its former CEO with $2 million for an condo deposit.

YTN stories that the Seoul Southern District Prosecutor’s Workplace performed the raid on Bithumb’s Yeoksam-dong headquarters after Kim Dae-sik allegedly misappropriated 3 billion received to purchase the property in Seoul.

The Monetary Supervisory Service initially launched an investigation and handed it over to Seoul’s prosecutors.

Bithumb was raided again in 2023, together with Upbit, after a South Korean lawmaker used the exchanges to carry roughly $4.5 million price of wemix cash.
