Telefonica Tech, the digital enterprise arm of Spanish telecom big Telefónica Group, is collaborating with Privado ID to advance privateness know-how and adoption of digital id throughout the European Union.
Privado ID, previously Polygon ID, will leverage TrustOS, a managed blockchain service by Telefónica Tech to bolster its verifiable credential providing, the 2 companies mentioned in a press launch.

The strategic alliance comes because the European Union prepares for the European Digital Identification Regulation, aka elDAS2. The regulation gives for the implementation of pointers mandating EU nations to offer a Digital ID Pockets to residents.
